About

Claire Callahan is a graduate of the Master of Public Affairs class of 2023. Originally from Seattle, Washington, she has been passionate about improving public policy to advance health equity throughout her life. During her time at Goldman, Claire worked with First 5 California to investigate the historic policies contributing to health inequities for children ages 0-5 statewide and proposed policy solutions to create more equitable health outcomes. She is an ardent advocate for guaranteed basic income to achieve health equity.

Claire is the Communications Director at the Stupski Foundation, a foundation returning all its resources by 2029 to communities across the San Francisco Bay Area and Hawaiʻi to support just and resilient food, health, and higher education systems for all. Her work focuses on crafting communications strategies to use the Foundation’s platforms to spark change in the philanthropic sector and amplify the messages of community partners.

Claire lives in San Francisco, where she enjoys fundraising and volunteering with local nonprofits that advance health equity and economic empowerment for women and girls.
