Tom Hernandez

Tom Hernandez (he/him) joins GSPP as Associate Director of Career Services/Career Advisor for the MPA program. As a professional career coach and educator, Tom has over 15 years of experience in education policy, nonprofits, and higher education. Most recently he served as Director of Alumni and Student Engagement at NYU’s Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service, where he developed initiatives and programs to connect students with the alumni community. At Wagner, Tom also served as a career coach to a diverse community of students and managed cross-sector employer relations. Prior to his career in higher education, Tom worked in the nonprofit sector as a program manager and as a classroom teacher in New Jersey and New York City.
