Ryan Hall

(he/him)

Innovation Fellow

Ryan Hall is an Innovation Fellow at Possibility Lab where he works on research projects across environmental, built environment, public safety, and open and digital government policy areas, and helps manage the Lab’s Innovation workstream under the California 100 Initiative. He is optimistic about the use of open data, open source technologies, and empirical methods in the design and delivery of public services.

Prior to joining the Possibility Lab, Ryan worked as a Data Analyst with the civic tech startup Socrata where he consulted on open data and data sharing programs for cities, counties, and federal agencies throughout the United States. Before that, he interned on the Policy Solutions team at Reinvestment Fund, a community development financial institution.

Ryan holds a B.A.in Urban Studies from the University of Pennsylvania. He enjoys getting lost in maps, new and old, digital and paper, and spends an unreasonable amount of time route planning on Strava. Ryan can often be spotted running the trails of the East Bay Regional Parks and trying to identify trees while his dog pulls him in a different direction.
