Fernando Augusto serves as the Communication Manager at IECC India Energy and Climate Center, within the Goldman School of Public Policy.

With an extensive background spanning over 14 years in Design and Communication, Fernando excels as a versatile designer and creative director. He embarked on his professional journey in creative design agencies, collaborating with a diverse array of clients across sectors and markets. His expertise lies in curating compelling strategies, designing impactful visuals, and orchestrating the execution of multidisciplinary campaigns.

In the United States, Fernando has directed his focus towards guiding and collaborating with companies and groups dedicated to climate and positive social impact. He has also lent his skills to esteemed academic institutions, such as Howard Hughes Medical Institute, UT Southwestern, and UC Berkeley, where he contributes as an adept academic and science communication designer.

Originally hailing from Lisbon, Portugal, Fernando's profound connection to the ocean through surfing and sailing has significantly shaped his perspective. Beyond his professional pursuits, he finds joy in culinary exploration, striving to master the art of various pizza styles like Neapolitan, Detroit, and New York. Additionally, he cherishes quality time spent with his family, often engaging in adventurous camping trips or embarking on Stand Up Paddling escapades.
