Vanessa Martini

Vanessa Martini is the Associate Director, Communications for the Goldman School of Public Policy. 

An experienced, engaged, and effective program manager, Vanessa spent ten years in admissions and leading the student experience team at the top-ranked Berkeley MBA for Executives Program at the Haas School of Business. As her responsibilities supporting students shifted during the COVID-19 pandemic, Vanessa was able to fine-tune her skills in the communications industry. Like many during this time, she decided to pivot her career and joined the Goldman team in June 2022. 

A San Jose native with an East Coast sense of humor, Vanessa is passionate about telling stories and providing support and resources to students, faculty, and staff. She is a strategic thought partner with vision, always seeking better, more effective processes to ensure student and team success. Areas of expertise range from providing diversity, equity and inclusion trainings; large and mid-scale event management; and curating talking points and written communications for high-level staff and faculty at UC Berkeley. 

Outside of work, Vanessa can be found volunteering at her 7 year old twin’s elementary school, listening to music, working out, cooking something she thinks is tasty, and tracking flights on the FlightRadar app.
