Max Wolf-Johnson (he/him) is a San Francisco native and current Master of Public Policy student at the Goldman School. He is a proud California Community College transfer and graduated from UC, Berkeley with a BA in Political Science in 2017.

Max spent four years working on Capitol Hill, including most recently as the lead education policy advisor to a senior member of the House Education and Labor Committee and Chair of the Higher Education and Workforce Investment Subcommittee. As a legislative staffer, he helped craft and advance legislation related to early, elementary, and secondary education, higher education, workforce development, labor, and immigration policy issues.

Max's primary policy interests relate to education and economic mobility, including higher education access, the cost of college, equitable student outcomes, and student loan debt and repayment.
