Francesca Bitton is native San Franciscan, the daughter of Jewish-Moroccan immigrants, and a first-generation college and graduate student. Francesca graduated from the University of San Francisco in 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts in Politics and International Relations. Over the past six years, she has worked to advance labor rights and economic security for workers across the globe.

Upon graduation, Francesca worked as the Policy and Communication's Coordinator at Equal Rights Advocates, a national civil rights organization that aims to protect and expand economic and educational opportunities for women and girls. After three successful years working to ensure passage of critical pay parity and workplace harassment policies, Francesca sought new opportunities that would allow her to amend large-scale policy and systems failures, revolutionize new approaches, and scale them. This led her to become the Program Manager at the Levi Strauss Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Levi Strauss & Co.

At the foundation, Francesca managed two portfolios of over $3.0 million dedicated to advancing democracy in the U.S and worker rights and well-being across the globe, including managing Levi's Worker Well-being initiative, which aims to improve the lives of the women and men that make Levi's products through innovating and scaling factory programs with NGO’s and initiating systems level changes that enable factories to go beyond compliance and to develop new social standards on key drivers of impact.

Francesca has extensive experience navigating domestic and international political landscapes, program design and implementation, systems and policy change, advocacy campaigns, and leading multi-stakeholder engagement.

Francesca's policy interests include labor and worker rights, environmental sustainability and ESG, responsible supply chains, and trade and development.
