John Quigley
I. Donald Terner Distinguished Professor
and Professor of Public Policy
Biographical Statement:
John Quigley’s substantive interests include the operation of urban housing and labor markets, urban transport systems, local public finance, and intergovernmental relations. He is the author or editor of fifteen books and many scientific and professional papers. Quigley has served as Vice President of the Association for Policy Analysis and Management and as President of the American Real Estate and Urban Economics Association. He is Director of the Berkeley Program on Housing an Urban Policy, and he holds concurrent appointments as Professor in the Department of Economics and the Haas School of Business. He serves as a consultant to many federal agencies (e.g., the National Academy of Sciences), to many international agencies (e.g., the World Bank), to nonprofit organizations (e.g., The Social Science Research Council), and to a variety of private firms.
