Biographical Statement:

Henry Brady is a political scientist and economist with interests in electoral politics and political participation, social welfare policy, political polling and policy-oriented surveys, statistical methodology, and the use of computers in management of social programs. Brady has worked for the federal Office of Management and Budget and other organizations in Washington, D.C. Brady is the principal investigator for the California Work Pays Demonstration Project, which is developing and archiving public databases on California’s welfare program. He is past president of the Political Methodology Group of the American Political Science Association, and he is also director of the University of California Data Archive and Technical Assistance Program, which provides academic researchers, state agencies, and others with technical assistance on computerized data including the census and sample surveys.
