Catherine Unger

Cathy Unger has worked as a Public Affairs Consultant in the political, corporate and non-profit arena for 40 years. She has been a partner in UT Strategies, Inc. where she represented municipal and corporate entities and Unger/Thomas where she represented State Governors, U.S. Senators and local elected officials.

A native of Los Angeles, she received her B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley in 1969.

She is the former President of the Board of Governors of the California Community Colleges and former Co-Chair of the Los Angeles Women’s Political Committee. She is past chair of Planned Parenthood Los Angeles where she currently serves on their board. She is also past chair of the Planned Parenthood Advocacy Project and serves on their board. She serves on the boards of the California Community Foundation, the Goldman School of Public Policy and the American Jewish Committee.

She is married to Leonard Unger, and they have two grown children and six grandchildren.
