What attracted you to GSPP? Quantitative focus, Friendly and diverse community of UC Berkeley
How did you prepare for the GSPP application and admissions process? I basically spent the entire three months in the fall semester in my school year on the application.
What have you enjoyed most during your time at GSPP? I enjoy the community here. I can get help from both inside and outside GSPP on life, academics and career services.
What was your professional background before GSPP and what do you look to do with your degree upon graduation? I went to undergrad and grad school in China before coming to GSPP. I’m planning to find a job related to energy policy analysis in the US.
What is your favorite thing about being a student in the Bay Area? It’s an ideal place for energy and technology innovation. As a student I can enjoy numerous opportunities to connect to entrepreneurs, regulators, and scholars in the energy field I’m interested in.
In your view, what type of person will benefit from a GSPP education? People seeking strong quantitative skills, interdisciplinary study, or advanced academic pursuit.

What is your best memory from GSPP? Camping trip with classmates. I felt attached to the community.
