Andy Lomeli cultivates sources of financial support from foundations to continue and expand the National Hispanic Media Coalition's (NHMC) work to serve Latino audiences, artists, storytellers, and media owners. In his previous capacity as Policy Associate, he participated in critical meetings for the team with media companies, FCC and congressional staffers, civil rights groups, and digital rights advocates.
Before joining NHMC, Andy helped manage the California Lifeline program at the California Public Utilities Commission. He also previously worked in government affairs and public outreach at the public interest group Public Knowledge in Washington, DC.
Andy earned an MPP from UC Berkeley and a BA in History from Stanford University. A proud graduate of both the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI) and the Public Policy and International Affairs Institute (PPIA) leadership programs, Andy is passionate about helping build the pipeline to policy careers for students from traditionally under-served backgrounds. He currently resides in the Boyle Heights area of Los Angeles.
