Lawyers’ Stories

Working on Hague Convention Cases Involving Domestic Violence

Lawyers who have served as counsel on Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction cases involving domestic violence can be valuable resources for other attorneys who are working on these types of cases. Anecdotal stories of experiences during the legal process working with the victim and child, the petitioner, the Central Authority, judges and advocates can help other lawyers to frame the issue of domestic violence after a petition for removal is filed. Attorneys who are willing to share briefs, legal decisions and other legal resources can also provide valuable guidance in these otherwise complex cases.

Please Contact the Hague Domestic Violence Project
