Alex Marqusee is a second year MPP student focusing on the impact of local policy on affordable housing, real estate development and financial inclusion. Before arriving in the Bay Area, he worked for four years in New York City first as the Special Assistant to the COO for a workforce development non-profit. After that he worked at a charter school consulting firm training and supporting school administrators in the nuts and bolts of school operations.
Alex graduated from Tufts University with a double major in Quantitative Economics and Middle Eastern Studies. He hails originally from Bethesda, MD but after two years of studying Arabic and French, working in microfinance and exploring, he calls Rabat, Morocco his second home.
