Wayne Benjamin Brown is an intellectual property attorney located in California. He currently serves as Deputy General Counsel and Chief Intellectual Property Officer at Quest Diagnostics, a Fortune 500 company. Wayne provides counsel on IP policy and strategy. In his role at Quest, he has also served as lead, company IP counsel on several strategic deals, ranging in value from $420M to $2B. Prior to joining Quest, Wayne was an attorney at Pillsbury Winthrop.
Wayne received a Bachelor degree in Chemistry from Harvard in 1985. And he received his law and public policy degrees (JD/M.P.P.) in 1992 from UC Berkeley—where he also served as a Graduate Student Instructor for Professor David Kirp at the Goldman School of Public Policy. Wayne’s policy interests include education policy, policing, intellectual property, game theory and negotiation strategy.
