Most recent position:
General Manager, Alameda County Mosquito Abatement District

Current Professional Experience
“My path of public service has led me to become the manager of a public health agency, The Alameda County Mosquito Abatement District. In this role, I direct mosquito control operations and disease surveillance in Alameda County; direct all financial budgeting and planning to support this mission; administer District Policy; represent the Board of Trustees in its relation to the community.”

Why An MPA Program
“From furthering transparency and fiscal responsibility in government agencies, to improving communication between the public and their government, these are just some of the challenges I encounter as a leader of a public agency. To address these challenges, the MPA Program is equipping me with the tools to see issues in new ways and the assurance to try innovative approaches.”

The MPA Program Was What I Looking For
“The Berkeley MPA program was exactly what I was looking and waiting for: a top program with on and off-campus flexibility that allowed me to maintain my current employment. Before starting the MPA program, I jokingly called myself a bureaucrat or administrator. Now, I proudly define myself as a public manager.”
