Driving Directions to The Berkeley City Club

From Northbound Highway 101 (San Francisco Airport)

  • Follow 101 North and then switch to 80 East, San Francisco/Oakland Bay Bridge
  • After the Bay Bridge, exit to I-80 East (Berkeley/Sacramento)
  • Exit on University Avenue
  • Continue east on University Avenue for approximately 1.5 miles to Oxford Street
  • Turn right on Oxford Street
  • Turn left on Durant Avenue - The Berkeley City Club (2315 Durant Ave) is on the left-hand side

From Northbound I-880 (San Jose/Hayward/Oakland Airport)

  • Stay in left center lanes
  • Exit I-80 East (to Berkeley)
  • Exit on University Avenue
  • Continue east on University Avenue for approximately 1.5 miles to Oxford Street
  • Turn right on Oxford Street
  • Turn left on Durant Avenue

From Highway 24

  • From Highway 24 exit Telegraph Avenue towards the campus
  • Turn left on Channing Way
  • Turn right on Ellsworth Street
  • Turn right on Durant Avenue

From Westbound Highway 13

  • Highway 13 becomes Tunnel Road
  • Continue on Tunnel Road, which becomes Ashby Avenue near the Claremont Hotel
  • Turn right on Shattuck Avenue
  • Turn right on Durant Avenue

From Westbound I-580

  • Exit I-80 East (to Berkeley)
  • Exit on University Avenue
  • Continue east on University Avenue for approximately 1.5 miles to Oxford Street
  • Turn right on Oxford Street
  • Turn left on Durant Avenue

UCB Parking Lots (fees vary; open to the public after 5:00 p.m.):

  • Kroeber Lot, on Bancroft Way @ College Avenue
  • Underhill Lot, on Channing Way @ College Avenue

Other Parking Options (fees vary):

  • Sather Gate Garage, on Durant Avenue @ Telegraph Avenue
  • Limited street parking is also available near the Bancroft Hotel

Public Transportation

BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit)

The downtown Berkeley BART station is at Shattuck Avenue and Center Street and is a 20-minute walk from The Bancroft Hotel. For BART information visit http://www.bart.gov or call (510) 465-2278.
